PURPOSE:To obtain a device automatically painting the center line of a striplike member while preventing the derailment of a line marker. CONSTITUTION:A television camera 4 detecting the foreign matter in the center groove of the extruded tread 1 fed by a conveyor 2 as an image is provided. For example, a chuck operated by air is attached to the line marker of a paint mechanism 6 and the control of the chuck is performed. In an image processing/ control system 5, the detected image is processed and the size of the foreign matter is calculated by a operation and this size is compared with a preset reference value and, when the foreign matter exceeding the reference value is judged, a line marker is fixed. The fixing of the line marker prevents not only derailment generated because the leading end of the marker rides on the foreign matter in the groove but also the painting of a line due to the flying-out to the outside of the groove and also suppresses the increase of re-kneaded rubber. |
