摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To obtain nitrogen gas and oxygen-rich gas easily and advantageously from the industrial viewpoint by using an X-zeolite contg. a specified % of specified divalent cations and a specified proportional % of lithium. CONSTITUTION: Gas mixtures contg. nitrogen and less strongly adsorbed components, such as air, is brought into contact with an adsorbent which contains at least binary exchanged crystalline X-zeolite in which an Si/Al ratio in the zeolite is <=1.5 and 5-95% of lithium and 5-95% of divalent ions selected from the group of barium, cobalt, copper, chromium. iron. magnesium, manganese, nickel, zinc and mixture thereof, and in which the total of lithium and the binary ion exchanged ions is at least 60% of the exchanged ion content. Thereby, nitrogen gas is adsorbed selectively from the gas mixtures and oxygen gas is recovered as an oxygen-rich product.</p>
