PURPOSE:To automatically encase long-sized fruits and vegetables after completion of sorting according to the classifications. CONSTITUTION:Long-sized fruits and vegetables 1 are so arranged on the top of a table 4 as to permit their encasing, a packing case 5 is placed from above on the fruits and vegetables 1 with its opening part 6 downward and the table 4 and the packing case 5 are turned upside down to receive the fruits and vegetables 1 on the table 4 in the packing case 5. A holder 7 is forced against the bottom surface 38 of the packing case 5 to hold the fruits and vegetables 1 and the packing case 5 between the holder 7 and the table 4 and the table 4 and the packing case 5 are turned upside down. The packing case 5 is provided with resin sheet in its interior and is placed as such over the fruits and vegetables 1 on the table 4. The resin sheet is laid inside with through holes in the bottom surface 38 of the packing cases and the packing case 5 and the resin sheet are retained by sucking the through holes thereof by an sucking device 43 and placed together over the fruits and vegetables 1 on the table 4. |
