<p>PURPOSE:To enhance resolving power by suppressing the diffusion of laser beam between a laser element and an ink ribbon by allowing the laser beam emitted from the laser element to pass and forming a beam spot on the ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon 32 and printing paper 33 are pressed by a glass member 56 to be held in a pressure contact state so as to hold a distance from a laser array 53. Laser beam 35 passes through the glass member 56 to reach the ink ribbon 32 to form a beam spot having a predetermined beam diameter on the ink ribbon 32. In this printer, the ink ribbon 32 is heated by laser beam 35 and the dye of the ribbon is sublimed to be transferred to the printing paper 33 by a line head. Since the printer is equipped with a correction means controlling the temp. change of the laser array 53, by irradiating the ink ribbon 32 with the laser beam 35 from the laser array 53, the beam spot suppressed in the diffusion of the laser beam can be formed on the ink ribbon 32.</p> |
