PURPOSE:To provide a normally solid ink composition for ink jet recording excellent in the transparency, frictional resistance, durability, etc., of an image by adding a compound which solidifies and continues to be amorphous when it is cooled from a molten state at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A compound which solidifies and continues to be amorphous when it is cooled from a molten state at a temperature gradient of 200 deg.C/sec or above is mixed with a dye, etc., to produce the objective normally solid composition. Suitable example of the above compounds include compounds of formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each H, OH, COOH, COOR, alkyl, halogen- substituted alkyl or X; X is halogen; R3 is H, OH, X, alkyl, COOH, COOR, amide or sulfonamide) and/or formula II (wherein R4 is H, CH3 or C2H5). |
