<p>PURPOSE: To provide a multilayer film showing high moisture barrier properties by forming a core layer containing a blend of a polypropylene polymer and a hydrocarbon resin and an outside layer containing a polymer material selected from a copolymer of ethylene and alfa olefin and the like. CONSTITUTION: A core layer 12 preferably contains a blend of a propylene polymer or copolymer and a hydrocarbon resin and this blend is shown as a layer of a mottled stripe pattern. Outside layers 14, 16 are preferably an ethylene and propylene copolymer(EPC), polypropylene(PP) or a blend thereof. When only a polypropylene resin is used, it may be difficult to use this film for use applications to packaging which requires heat sealing. Therefore it is recommended to use the EPC alone or a blend of two materials.</p> |
