PURPOSE:To detect the contrast of a main subject to correct the distance measurement information by use of a plurality of light emitting parts for lighting the vicinity of the main subject, and prevent the distance measurement error in the subject having the contrast. CONSTITUTION:When the first stroke of a shutter cord is pushed, a microcomputer 56 controls a light emitting means (IRED) driving circuit 58 to successively drive lines L1-L3 to an IRED 20, and right, middle and left light emitting parts successively emit light by AC lighting. According to this emission, the reflected light from a subject is incident onto a light receiving element (PSD) 28. Signal currents are outputted from both outputs A, B of the PSD 28 according to this incident light, and converted into voltage and amplified by a converter 50. This signal is double-integrated by an integrating circuit 52, and the obtained distance measurement information is transmitted to the microcomputer 56. Such a signal processing is conducted to the lighting operation of each light emitting part, and the thus-obtained three pieces of the distance measurement information are operated by the microcomputer 56 to execute the detection and correction to the contrast subject. |
