PURPOSE: To relax the chemical injury of imidazolinone herbicides alone or in the form of a mixture with another co-herbicides (e.g.;α-haloacetoamide) to crop plants and more particularly corn. CONSTITUTION: This comspn. is prepd. by combining the imidazolinone herbicides (e.g.; imazakin, imazetapyr, imazapyr) combined with the other co-herbicides in some cases and the compds. selected from the compd. of the formula [R10 is H, (halo)alkyl, (halo)alkinyl, cycloalkyl, halogen, carboalcoxy, hydroxyalkyl, furyl, (substd.)phenyl, etc.; R11 and R12 are H, (halo)alkyl, alkinyl, NH2 , formyl, (substd.) phenyl, etc.],α-[(cyanomethoxy)imino]benzene acetonitrile, 2-chloro-4- trifluoromethyl-5-thiazole carboxylic acid benzyl ester, diphenyl methoxy acetic acid methyl ester, 1,8-naphthalic-anhydride, etc.
