PURPOSE:To obtain the subject material useful as a heat-sensitive printer, etc., having excellent storage stability of colored picture image, comprising an electron donative coloring compound, an electron acceptive compound and a specific phthalimide derivative (metal salt). CONSTITUTION:The objective material comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. electron donative coloring compound such as 3-di-n-butylamino-7-(2'-chlorophenylamino)fluoran and (B) preferably 100-500 pts.wt. electron acceptive compound such as 4-6- butylphenol containing preferably >=50wt.% one or more phthalimide derivatives (metal salts) of the formula (R is aralkyl or aryl; X1 and X2 are H, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen) such as N-benzyl-3-phthal-imidocarboxylic acid. Zinc salt of the phthalimide derivative of the formula is a new compound. |
