PURPOSE:To form a foamed molded object using a resin excellent in heat resistance by supplying a resin such as polyamide or thermoplastic polyester to an extruder and introducing gas with specific gas permeability into the resin under pressure to extrude the resin and quenching the extrudate to store the same in a non-foamed state and subsequently heating the extrudate to simultaneously perform foaming and molding. CONSTITUTION:A resin such as polyamide, thermoplastic polyester or polycarbonate is supplied to an extruder and gas with gas permeability of 100CC.mm/ cm<2>.SEC.cmHgX10<10> or less under such a condition that temp. is 25 deg.C and relative humidity is 50% or less is introduced into the resin within the extruder under pressure. A resin compsn. wherein the gas is contained in a ratio of 0.01-3.0 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the resin is extruded as a non-foamed sheet and immediately introduced into a liquid with a temp. of 50 deg.C or lower to be quenched and taken out in a non-foamed state to be stored for a while. This compsn. is heated in a mold to be simultaneously foamed and molded. As a foaming agent, there is carbon dioxide, nitrogen or butane. |
