PURPOSE: To provide a printer realizing the movement and alignment of a printing head in maintenance and the replacement of a maintenance part at low cost and equipped with adaptability and interchangeability. CONSTITUTION: In a printer 10 having a chasis 12 and a maintenance station 16 for performing the maintenance of printing heads 14a, 14b, a frame constituting a part of the maintenance station 16 and substantially housing this station 16 is provided and the frame 18 is selectively fixed to the chasis 12 of the printer 10 in a freely detachable manner so that the maintenance station 16 is also detached along with the frame 18 when the frame is detached. |
