PURPOSE: To provide a prepn. which consists of a specific tripeptide alginal deriv. as an active component, is capable of minimizing or suppressing the reflux type lesion occurring in the case of receipt of the ischemia and reflux of the tissues and is useful for treatment of the developable myocardial infarct in particular. CONSTITUTION: This prepn. contains the compd. of the formula A-Pro-Arg-H [A is formulas I, II (X is NH2 , acetyl-NH, etc.; Z is H, a 1 to 4C alkyl), etc., and the chiral center thereof is DL, more preferably D; the chiral center of Pro is L; the chiral center of Arg is L] as the active component. The active component compd. described above is N-methyl-D-phenylaranyl-L-proryl-L-alginal, etc. The active component compd. is obtd. by bringing the acid of the formula ACOOH into reaction with proline ester, then deesterifying the formed compd. of formula III and bringing the product into reaction with the alginine in the form of the lactam of formula IV, then cleaving the lactam ring of the resulted product. |
