Active shoring (1) for underground mining consists of a hollow body (10), the walls (11) of which consists totally or partly of sheet metal. The hollow body (10) can be expanded by filling, especially with water, so that it can fill a hollow space (7) or an excavation into which it is previously pushed or inserted in the collapsed state. Here, the individual hollow bodies (10) are fitted with coupling components (16) so that they can be secured together to the rock or support in such a way that they remain in the predetermined position during the jigging process as well. With sheet metal of suitable gauge and material, such shoring (1) can provide a jigging force of 600 kN and over. It can therefore be used with advantage in underground mining as safety components. |
