PURPOSE:To provide the musical tone generating device which enables a musical performance rich in variation by making the timbre when a damper pedal is stepped in different from the timbre when the damper pedal is not stepped in as to a musical tone generating device which varies a timbre according to whether or not the pedal is stepped in. CONSTITUTION:The musical tone generating device consists of a storage means 40 which stores waveform data, a 1st instructing means which instructs sound generation, a 1st musical tone generating means which generates a 1st musical tone signal on the basis of the waveform data stored in the storage means 40 in response to an instruction of the 1st instructing means, a delay means 50 which delays the instruction of sound generation made by the 1st instructing means, a 2nd musical tone generating means which generates a 2nd musical tone signal on the basis of the waveform data stored in the storage means 40 according to the sound generation instruction delayed by the delay means 50, and a 2nd instructing means which instructs that specific musical effects are given. |
