PURPOSE:To efficiently recognize the operation of all storage packages only by conducting a test on test areas by allocating the test areas to the plural storage packages, allocating continuous logical addresses to the test areas so as to access them and recognizing the operation of all the storage packages. CONSTITUTION:In an example developing the logical addresses of a storage sapce on plural semiconductor memory packages 4-7, the test areas 11 are evenly allocated on the four semiconductor memory packages 4-7. Althrough the test program of a host computer 2 manages the test areas 11 by the continuous logical addresses, the test areas 11 are evenly divided and allocated on the respective packages on the four semiconductor memory packages 4-7. Thus, a real address does not continue. Thus, a disk controller 3 converts the logical address outputted from the host computer 2 into the real address so as to access a semiconductor disk 1. |
