PURPOSE: To stop overcharging of capacitor under a condition that no load is connected to a switch-mode power supply for a stabilizer and keep THD under a desired level. CONSTITUTION: A switch-mode power supply for stabilizer is provided with a power factor controller IC1 for outputting an adjusted DC output voltage. A power factor controller responds to a control signal, obtained by adding an active offset to the detection signal. A detection signal is R5 , R23 , C16 which represent a current flowing into the switching device Q1 of the power supply. Active offset is IC3 which changes on the basis of the adjusted DC output voltage. |
