PURPOSE:To transmit a mail irrespective of a work station used by a user of a receiving destination by up-loading a mail for which a user finishes reading to a server, and erasing it from in a work station used by its user. CONSTITUTION:Based on user work station management information T2, an electronic mail is transmitted to a user of a work station of a transmitting destination by the server S2 of a receiving side, and when the user of the transmitting destination is not subjected to log-in, the electronic mail is preserved temporarily in the server S2, and at the time of log-in of the user of the transmitting destination, the electronic mail addressed to its user is down-loaded to the work station subjected to log-in, and also, the electronic mail for which the user finishes reading is up-loaded to the server S2, and erased from in the work station used by the user. Accordingly, at the time of transmitting the electronic mail, the user can transmit the electronic mail irrespective of the work station used by the user of the transmitting destination.
