PURPOSE:To solve a problem that the calculated value of external energy is not guaranteed and a contour (snake) does not converge at the contour location of an object when the object is located at the end of image data. CONSTITUTION:When an object in original image data is located at the end of the array of image data, virtual image data having an array larger than the original image data is set in order to prevent the calculation of energy from not being performed, and the value of the original image data and the value of the image data (reference image data) when the object is not located are substituted in it in processings S24, S25. Then, the contour line extraction of the object is performed by applying a dynamic contour model to the virtual image data by processings S26 to S29. |
