PURPOSE:To output a font at high speed by revising the storage contents in a storing means based on cost information when the inputted cost information is satified with a prescribed condition. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a cache control part 10 functioning as a cache control means and a cache revision means, a cache memory 20 functioning as a cache storage means temporarily storing character data and a character generator 30 generating the character data. Then, by the cache control part 10, the cost information showing the priority of the character data stored in the cache memory 20 is revised based on the inputted cost information, and by the cache control part 10, the character data are cached in the cache memory 20 based on the cost information. Thus, the cost information showing the priority of the character data is revised for each user or document. Thus, a cache hit rate is improved since the character data according to the user or the document is cached. |
