PURPOSE:To prevent writing by the read light and to stabilize the reflectance by providing a low sensitivity area of optical recording having a predetermined reflectance at the outer side than the outermost periphery of a surface of a tracking pattern and at the inside of the innermost periphery of the surface. CONSTITUTION:A low sensitivity area 8 of optical recording has the reflectance substantially equivalent to that of an optical recording layer. In the case where the tracking patterns are formed concentrically, the area 8 is provided at the outermost periphery of the track or on a plurality of adjacent tracking patterns including the outermost periphery of the track, or at parts 8, 4 outer than the outermost periphery. Moreover, the area 8 is provided at the innermost periphery of the track or on a plurality of adjacent tracking patterns including the innermost periphery of the track or at parts 8, 5 inside the innermost periphery of the track. The pattern is exposed when ultraviolet rays are cast to the area 8 via a mask pattern 24. A predetermined developer is used for development. Since the reflectance becomes substantially equivalent between the area 8 and the optical recording layer, writing by the reading light is prevented and the reflectance of the area 8 is stabilized. |
