PURPOSE:To increase the number of the sample of an estimated compensating amount, and to improve compensating precision by estimating a fading distortion amount by each channel of a multicarrier, and operating fading compensation based on it. CONSTITUTION:In the digital demodulator of a multicarrier transmission system, a reception signal inputted from an input terminal 1 is semi-synchronizing detected through an automatic frequency controller 2 by a semi-synchronizing orthogonal detector 4, and each detected output signal of channels 1-4 is applied to fading distortion amount estimating circuits 5-1 to 5-4 and fading compensating circuits 6-1 to 6-4 by each channel. Then, the fading distortion amount is calculated by the fading distortion amount estimating circuits 5-1 to 5-4 by using a pilot symbol provided at each channel as a reference, and the fading compensation is operated by the fading compensating circuits 6-1 to 6-4 by using the calculated fading distortion amount. |
