PURPOSE:To obtain clean beams of incoherent TEMOO mode by a method wherein a filter of transmitting basic waves and absorbing harmonics is arranged between a basic laser medium and a nonlinear optical element, or coating is performed so that the basic waves can be reflected against a mirror on the basic laser medium side and the harmonics can be transmitted. CONSTITUTION:Laser beams emitted from a semiconductor laser 7 excite a solid laser crystal 10. An HR coat is applied to basic waves and harmonics on the end surface of the laser crystal 10 and a resonator is formed between output mirrors 13 which are the HR coat for the basic waves and laser crystal 10 and an AR coat for the harmonics to oscillate a laser. SHG beams are emitted from a nonlinear optical crystal 12 by laser oscillation in the directions of the output mirror 13 and laser crystal 10 and beams in the direction of the output mirror 13 lead to the external unit through the output mirror. On the other hand, beams in the direction of the laser crystal 10 are absorbed by a filter 11 absorbing the harmonics and do not return by reflecting against the output mirror 13. |
