<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a binder that gives good heat-resistant storage property, high temp. for hot offset, and excellent low temp. fixing property to the toner by using two kinds of resin having a sea-island structure at room temp. in such a manner that the resin used for the island has larger surface free energy than the other resin used for the spa. CONSTITUTION:This binder consists of noncrosslinking resin having high glass transition temp. obtd. by polymn. of styrene or styrene and (meth)acrylate, noncrosslinking noncrystalline satd. polyester resin having low glass transition temp., and if necessary, compatibilizer. Namely, by using the resin having larger surface free energy for the island compared to the resin in the sea, the resin of the island hardly bleeds out to the toner surface and glass transition temp. of the resin of the island can be decreased. Thereby, viscosity of the toner during melting is decreased to improve the low fixing property without causing deterioration of heat-resistant storage property.</p> |
