PURPOSE:To obtain an electrifier having simple and stable electrostatic chargeability regardless of a difference in environment, durability and a material by moving a local discharge part made between a body to be electrified and an electrifier. CONSTITUTION:Output from an AC power source 3 that the whole of power supply is biased by a DC power source 4 is taken out and applied to the electrifiers 2-1 and 2-2 oppositely arranged with a prescribed gap and without contacting with respect to a photosensitive drum 1, so that the distribution of a potential on the surface of an every moment electrifier is changed. On the other hand, a distance between the surfaces of the photosensitive drum and the electrifier at a point P is changed as the photosensitive drum 1 having curvature is rotated in the direction of the arrow X. A charge supplying part is spatially moved at high speed to control a supplied charge amount per unit area on the surface of the body to be electrified, so that the simple and stable electrostatic chargeability can be obtained regardless of the difference in the environment, durability and material. |
