PURPOSE: To provide a method by which detected signals are processed analogously for detecting the intensity of radiation, radiated from an object in connection with the background level by using a pixel detector, because an A/D converter and a storage device are required and the cost becomes higher, and then, a reading-out system becomes complicated, when the detected signals are processed digitally. CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a resistive element 122 which has a resistance such that it varies depending upon the radiation strength inputted to a detector 120 and equipped with first and second terminals and an integrating element 124, which is connected to the first terminal of the element 122. The first terminal is set at a reference voltage. Then the radiation inputted to the detector 120 is made to be proportional to the background radiation level by defocusing the radiation, and the integrating element 124 is made to discharge to the background voltage level by supplying a first voltage to a second terminal. Then the radiation inputted to the detector 120 is made to be proportional to the radiation emitted from an object 116 by focusing the radiation, and the integrating element 124 is charged up to its output voltage V0 level by supplying a second voltage to the second terminal. Then the output voltage V0 is detected.
