<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of a variance at the time of adjusting the height of a guide by setting a guide measuring reference surface on a head of the tape traveling guide, connecting a pit of an adjusting member to the guide while making a 1st shaft and a 2nd shaft to rotate in the forward/backward direction by a motor, and driving the guide into a specified dimension. CONSTITUTION:The reference dimension for adjusting the height of the tape traveling guide 63 is measured by placing a reference plate 61 on a cassette holding post 60 of a calibrating plate 59, and this dimension is stored in a memory of the controller not shown in the figure. Next, the reference plate 61 is placed on a cassette holding post 62b of a mechanical deck 62 to measure three points on the reference plate 61. At this time, a servo motor 31 is driven at the reference height settled in advance to rotate a disk 47, then each measured value is corrected from surface wobbling values which are measured and stored for every 10 deg. angle. After that, the dimension of the height from the measurement reference surface of the reference plate 61 to a head of the guide 63 is measured, and the measured dimension and the height adjusting reference dimension are compared and calculated, then the guide measuring reference surface 34 of the adjusting unit is settled on the head of the guide 63 which is being kept temporarily fixing to the deck 62, then the height adjusting dimension is set by making the guide 63 to rotate in the forward direction.</p> |
