<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a fixing roller from being damaged because a separation pawl is bitten into the roller when a paper ejecting upper guide to which the separation pawl separating the transfer material from the fixing roller is fitted is retrearted from the transfer material path because of the jamming of a paper. CONSTITUTION:The separation pawl 3 is freely rotated because a separation pawl shaft 3a is engaged with the bearing part 7c of an upper guide 7 pivotally fitted to a rotational center 6 and pressured to the fixing roller 1 by a pawl spring 9. The tip 12a of a rotational center shaft 12 pivotally fitted to the side plate part of the guide 7 is engaged with the edge 14a of a fixedly provided paper ejecting side plate 14 and provided with a pawl returning bar 10 having a returning pin 13 engaged with the upper part of the pawl 3. When the guide 7 is elevated at a jamming time, the bar 12 is also elevated and the tip 12a is turned counterclockwise along the edge 14a with the center shaft 12 as a center. Besides, the pawl 3 is turned clockwise around the shaft 3a thereof and separated from the roller 1 by the pin 13.</p> |
