PURPOSE: To provide a system where the position of an object in three- dimensional space is calculated without necessity to arrange a three-dimensional reference frame within the visual field of a camera. CONSTITUTION: This system adds an input means for inputting information concerning the positions of the cameras 10 and 20 and a sign in actual three- dimensional space, a calculating means for calculating the equation of a single plane adding the sign, a projecting means where continuous images are received, an analysis object point inside the image is projected on the single plane and programming is executed so as to obtain the solution of the equation of a straight line which passes through the position of the camera and the position of the analysis object point within the single plane and the means for deciding the position of the analysis object point within the three-dimensional space in accordance with the straight line concerning the corresponding image from the camera, which is generated by the projecting means. |
