PURPOSE:To remove sticking compounds and to prevent omission in printing, in a cleanerless process in an image forming device which recovers residual toner on a latent image carrier by means of a development unit and, therefore, does not require a cleaner. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device, which does not have a cleaner, electrifies a rotary, endless latent-image-carrier 10 by means of an electrifying part 11, forms a latent image by means of a latent image forming part 12, develops the image with toner by means of a development part 13, transfers the toner image to a sheet by means of a transfer part 14, and recovers residual toner by means of the development part 13 after the transfer. The image forming device is provided with: an abutting part 25 which is caused to abut on the latent image carrier 10, and the drive part which drives the abutting part 25. Sticking objects on the latent image carrier 10 are removed by causing the abutting part 25 to abut on the rotating latent-image-carrier 10 by the drive part when resuming the rotation of the latent image carrier 10 after stopping the rotation of it. |
