PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the interruption of work caused by the running out of a paper while a copying action by a document feeder is taken. CONSTITUTION:In the image forming device provided with a recirculating document feeder 3 having a document size detecting means 49 detecting the size of each document while the documents of plural sizes mixedly loaded on a document feeding tray 4 are separated/fed to the document placing table 1 of a device main body one by one, a document circulating path 14 returning/ refeeding the document fed onto the document placing table 1 onto the document feeding tray 4 and a document ejecting path 18 ejecting the document fed onto the document placing table 1 and completed to copy onto a document ejecting tray 17 and a paper set detecting means detecting the presence of the paper in a paper housing part, a control part having a paper absence document ejecting/next document feeding means not for copying the document but for ejecting it onto the document feeding tray 4 again when the paper of the size suitable for the document fed onto the document placing table 1 is absent in the paper housing part is provided and the document having a possibility that the paper of a suitable size is present is preferentially copied. |
