PURPOSE:To form joint in the middle part and end part of cylindrical pipe at high precision by simple mechanical method, by placing a cylindrical pipe to be joined and a guide ring concentrically on the main cylindrical pipe placed horizontally, and rotating the lifting rod with cutting tool along the guide ring. CONSTITUTION:A base body 9 fitted to a band 4 for securing a cylindrical pipe 1 placed horizontally is extended and contracted by a turnbuckle 8, and a guide ring 10 affixed to the base body is set at an angle theta at right angle and concentrically to axial line B of a branch cylindrical pipe 2. A lifting rod 16 is inserted into a square pipe 15 so as to provide only lifting and lowering motions, and is permitted to move in the raidal direction of the ring by means of supporting rod of pipe 15, and can also move along the ring 10 through a lifting rod supporting body 12. The guide roller at the lower end of the lifting rod 16 is, around the axial line B, caused to contact with the position on the pipe 1 coinciding with the radius of the pipe 2. When the supporting body 12 is rotated about the ring 10, the guide roller traces on the virtual curve C corresponding to the contour of the pipe 2 projected on the pipe 2. Therefore, a precise joint part 1a may be formed by the torch fitted to the lifting rod 16. |
