摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of an image processor by using the multipliers in a filtering process in number equal to the number of filter coefficients whose value are not equal to 0 and selecting one of those coefficients and the image data to multiplied by the coefficient. CONSTITUTION:The coefficient registers 80-85 are provided in accordance with the coefficients which are decided by the arithmetic areas of the two-dimensional filters to be subjected to the filtering processing. The multiplexers 86 and 87 select the multiplication where 0 is not multiplied by the selection signals S1-S4 produced at a selection signal generating part 90. Meanwhile the multiplexers 88 and 89 select the image data to be multiplied by the signals S1-S4. The selected coefficient and image data are multiplied by each other by the multipliers 91 and 92. Therefore it is not required to prepare the multipliers against all coefficients that are decided by the matrix sizes of computing areas of the two-dimensional filters. So that the cost and the circuit scale can be reduced for an image processor.
