PURPOSE:To obtain high durability to a sudden change of temperatures and to suppress the generation of defects in a writing once CD and a CD to be used exclusively for reproduction of data. CONSTITUTION:The writing once compact disc(CD) has a recording layer of an organic pigment, an Au reflecting layer 3 and a protecting layer 4 sequentially layered on a transparent substrate 1. The moisture permeability of the whole of the reflecting layer 3 and the protecting layer 4 is 2.0g/m<2>.24hr or higher at 65 deg.C, 90%RH. In the meantime, the CD for exclusive use in reproduction of data has a metallic reflecting layer and a protecting layer sequentially formed on a transparent substrate where information pits are formed beforehand. The moisture permeability of the whole of the reflecting layer and the protecting layer is 2.0g/m<2>.24hr or higher at 65 deg.C, 90%RH. |
