PURPOSE:To obtain a magneto-optical disk reproducing device having an excellent C/N. CONSTITUTION:A light beam emitted from a laser diode 1 is reflected by a raising mirror 5 after passing through a beam splitter 4 and projected upon a magneto-optical disk 7. The reflected light from the disk 7 is successively reflected by the mirror 5 and splitter 4 and received by photodetectors 11 and 13. When the reflected light is reflected by the mirror 5, a multilayered dielectric film 5a formed as a phase compensating means on the reflecting surface of the mirror 5 performs phase compensation on the reflected light from the disk 7 and the beam splitter 4 acts to offset the phase difference between the P- and S-polarized light components generated when the splitter 4 reflects the reflected light from the disk 7. Therefore, the high C/N of this information reproducing device can be secured without deteriorating the signal detecting sensitivity of the device. |
