<p>A method and a device is described for protection of the pointers in SDH systems. The method calls for: at the transmitting station: i. the reading and the encoding of the pointers (bytes H1 and H2 and, if present, Y and U) with a code which adds redundancy to the information being protected; ii. memorisation of the redundancy (RID) in free bytes for a proprietary type of frame management; at the receiving station: i. the decoding of the pointers (H1, H2) and of the corresponding redundancy (RID); ii. the replacement of the received pointers with those calculated after the decoding operation. The system according to the invention is advantageously applicable to transmission systems with one plus one protection as well. <IMAGE></p> |
