The supporting body (1) is mfd. of synthetic-resin-bonded material with an unstressed blowout manifold (5). It has three adjustable threaded pins (7) and three threaded sockets (8) for tensioning elements, and is shaped roughly to fit the contour of the workpiece. The latter is adjusted to the desired position within a reference co-ordinate system, and the space between it and the body is filled with hardenable material to form an abutment layer and to compensate for slight deviations of workpiece dimensions within 5.5 ppm.
