A method for reducing the emission of alkene oxide (AO) in the prodn. of AO-adducts by reacting AO with liq., active hydrogen-contg. cpds. in the presence of catalyst, comprises removing the gaseous AO from the reactor gas space and redispersing it in the reaction mixt. together with fresh AO.
