PURPOSE:To maintain environmental resistance and image quality good over a long period of time without deteriorating the surface of a photosensitive body by the ozone due to corona discharge and various kinds of ions by incorporating antioxidants into the cleaning brush. CONSTITUTION:The toners remaining on the photosensitive body 1 are removed from the surface of the photosensitive body 1 by a fur brush 14 and a blade 15 after the toners are transferred onto transfer paper 9. Rayon, acetate, nylon, polyester, acryl, etc., are used as the material constituting the cleaning brush. One or >=2 kinds of monphenol compds., visphenol compds., high polymer type phenolic compds., paraphenylene diamines, hydroquinones, org. sulfur compds., org. phosphorus compds. and other known antioxidants are incorporated into the fibers constituting the cleaning brush. The amt. of these antioxidants to be added is adequately 0.1 to 100 pts.wt., more preferably 1 to 30 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. fibers. The method of incorporating the antioxidants into the fibers may be before or during spinning. |
