The power amplifier includes a flat refrigerated box which is divided into, e.g. 30 compartments, arranged in rows and columns, each containing a soft iron core with a primary and a secondary winding. The secondary winding is capacitor-coupled to the primary of the adjacent core, or, at row ends, to the first primary of the next row. An initial energy source is a 6V, 0.35A alternator, belt-driven by a motor connected to the vehicle battery, which also supplies the refrigeration unit.
