The desk has a top (2) to which a vertical back panel (4) is fixed by hinges (6). Their axis is parallel to the plate and the panel's upper edge. Two legs (3) are articulated to the top and fixed to the panel. When the desk is folded, the panel folds against the lower surface of the top.The panel is fixed to each leg by a screw (11) which can be turned by hand. The upper end of each leg is fixed to the top by a tube (8) whose ends are mounted in bearings (9) and the legs fold inwards.
