Spectacle frame with automatically-closing elastic hinges

The front portion (1) and lateral arms (2) of the frame are connected by hinges (3) consisting of elastic bodies (30) biassed towards a closed position in which the arms are parallel to the front portion. The elastic hinge bodies have an external saw-tooth surface (31) and a smooth inner surface (32).The closed position of the hinges is approximately arcuate. The end parts of the arms and front portion of the frame include shaped mortise connectors (27) which cooperate with complementary tenons (37) on the ends of the elastic hinges.
