The digital wrist watch has a function for detecting pulsation using a pressure sensor equipped in the watch. The watch includes a pulsation detector (10) for detecting pulsation, a mode selector (20) for changing mode between a watch mode and a pulsation checking mode, a first counter (30) for counting pulses input from the pulsation detector (70), a second counter (60) for counting time for detecting pulsation, an alarm (90) for disabling operation of the first counter (30) when a detection time is over, a reset pulse generator (100) for resetting the first counter, and displays (50,80) for displaying time and pulsation number.
