PURPOSE:To form a sharp pattern on the surface of an article by coating the article with ink cured by ultraviolet rays or electron beam and subsequently arranging a masking member becoming a pattern of a character or picture on the upper surface of the article to irradiate the same with ultraviolet or electron beam. CONSTITUTION:Screen printing is applied to the surface of a plate 1 using ink 2 cured by ultraviolet rays or electron beam and a masking member 5 having a pattern drawn thereon is arranged on the upper surface of the ink 2 applied to the plate 1. The masking part 4 of the member 5 is imperevious to ultraviolet rays or electron beam and the other part thereof is composed of material quality pervious to ultraviolet rays or electron beam. Subsequently, the ink 2 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays or electron beam from above through the masking member 5. By this method, the ink 2 at the part other than the masking part 4 is cured but the ink 2 at the masking part 4 is not cured. The curing of the ink 2 is confirmed and the plate 1 is washed with a solvent to remove the ink 2 corresponding to the uncured masking part 4. |
