METHOD FOR GRANULATING GALENICALS AND SOLID PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION

PURPOSE:To obtain a heavy granulated substance having a high strength and sharp grain size distribution by granulating galenicals according to simple operation. CONSTITUTION:Galenical powder or an additive is tumbled in a tilted surface of a rotating body 6 by using a tumbling fluidized type granulator and a liquid such as water is then sprayed from a nozzle 15 thereon while fluidizing the galenical powder or additive with a gas stream of a gas fed from a pipe 14. Thereby, a granulated substance of the galenicals is obtained. The granulation of the galenical extract can be carried out by spraying the galenical extract while tumbling and simultaneously fluidizing the additive such as a binder or an excipient. The resultant granulated substance is utilized as a solid pharmaceutical preparation.
