PURPOSE:To provide a rational continuous reinforcing method for fastener tape ends with an opening inserter which assures the peeling strength of the opening inserter from fastener tapes, assures the rigidity of the opening inserter, sufficiently reinforces the fastener tape surface in the molding part of the opening inserter and does not generate troubles, such as needle breakage, at the time of subsequent sewing. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of the fastener tapes 1 are successively passed through a fastener element molding machine 4 and a fiber hardener applying and impregnating device 5. Fastener element arrays 6 of a prescribed length are first molded along the opposite edges of two pieces of the fastener tapes 1 by this molding machine 4. The opening inserter 7 consisting of a wing rod and a box rod is simultaneously and integrally molded at one end thereof and a stopper 8 at the other end; in succession, a fiber hardener 9 is applied or to the tape surface on the side of the part of the fastener tape 1 molded with the opening inserter by the fiber hardeneer applying and impregnating device 5, by which the tape surface is impregnated with the fiber hardener 9. |
