PURPOSE:To produce a self-adhesive tape having suitable strength, tearability, and appearance at a high reproducibility by using a substrate based on a woven fabric which comprises the warp and the weft having physical properties satisfactory for producing a self-adhesive tape of required physical properties. CONSTITUTION:A self-adhesive tape is produced by forming a first laminate layer on one side of a woven fabric and a second laminate layer having a thickness of about twice that of the first laminate layer on the other side to give a substrate and forming a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the substrate. The fabric is obtd. by using, as the warp and the weft, a flat yarn obtd. by slitting and stretching a thermoplastic resin film and comprises the warp 1 having a fineness of 60-80D, a tensile strength of 300-500gf, and an elongation at break of 20% or lower and the weft 2 having a fineness of about 3 times that of the warp 1. |
