PURPOSE:To make desired information conspicuous to an operator among many pieces of information on display, by using negative characters for it. CONSTITUTION:A brightness inversion assignment code, if residing refresh memory 1, is detected by decoder 2 to set FF3. As a result, a brightness inversion indication signal changes from a low level to a high level and is supplied to exclusive- OR gate 5. Namely, when the brightness inversion indication signal is ''0'', display pattern data is outputted as it is, but when it is ''1'', the display pattern data changes from ''0'' to ''1'' or reversely and is outputted. The display pattern data of ''1'' makes a bright point on a screen, so that a point which is normally a bright point comes off while its back consists of bright points. In this way, negative characters are displayed. |
