CONSTITUTION: This toxin is prepared by separating crystals from the spores and cell residues after the lysis of sporangia at the time of culturing pathological type C of Bacillus thuringiensis and purifying the resulting crystalline substance, and has a 65,000 to 70,000 dalton molecular weight and is capable of acting on insects belonging to the order Coleoptera. In particular, the toxin selectively acts on Blauen Erlenblattkaefer; Agelastio and Colorado beetles.
