<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate an imperfect contact at a place where dust and foreign particles exist and prevent malfunction caused by electric change by a method wherein a synthetic resin-made cover is detachably provided on a memory card so as to cover the side part thereof. CONSTITUTION:When a memory card 10 is out of use, one side part of the memory card 10 provided with a terminal part 12 is covered with a synthetic resin-made cover 18. In this manner, the adhesion of dust, foreign particles, or the like to the terminal part 12 is prevented. Before the memory card 10 is inserted into a slot 20 of a read writer 16, the cover 18 is removed from the terminal part 12. The removed cover 18 is again mounted on the memory card 10 exposed from the slot 20. In this manner, a metallic body 11 cannot be exposed outside. Therefore, the memory card 10 can be protected from static electricity, and malfunction can be prevented. In addition, the synthetic resin-made cover 18 for covering one side part of the memory card 10 is just large enough to cover only one side part of the memory card 10.</p> |
