PURPOSE:To know the directions of cardinal points by the sense of hearing or the sense of touch to know which direction a blind person himself faces now and to determine which direction he forwards when the blind person walks. CONSTITUTION:The indicator consists of a case 1, a plurality of Hall elements 3a, 3b and 3c arranged by a definite angle each other, an electronic circuit 4 treating Hall electromotive force of these Hall elements and an output element 5 actuated by output of this circuit. As the result, only when the apex part 1a of the case 1 faces to a specified direction, e.g. to the north, the output element, e.g. a buzzer or an element stimulating the sense of touch works. In addition, the direction to which the apex part 1a faces is informed e.g. by a speaker or an element stimulating the sense of touch. |
